I used Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash to wash my face (use that twice a day) and after using that, I used a medicine called Finacea which I got from the dermatologist. Do beware %26amp; informed of side effects. I remember seeing him go through it, he looked like a chemotherapy patient but w/o hair loss. His acne did get worse before going away permanetly. His Dr. kept a carefull watch on his liver funtions.|||Before Using Accutane: Risks of Taking Accuatne

In deciding to use a Accuatne, the risks of taking the Accuatnemust be weighed against the good it will do. This is a decision you and your doctor will make. For isotretinoin (the generic name for accutane), the following should be considered:

Allergies:

Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to isotretinoin, acitretin, etretinate, tretinoin, or vitamin A preparations. Also tell your health care professional if you are allergic to any other substances, such as foods, preservatives (such as parabens), or dyes.

Pregnancy:

Isotretinoin must not be taken during pregnancy because it causes birth defects in humans. In addition, isotretinoin must not be taken if there is a chance that you may become pregnant during treatment or within 1 month following treatment .

Breast-feeding:

It is not known whether isotretinoin passes into breast milk. However, isotretinoin should not be used during breast-feeding because it may cause unwanted effects in nursing babies.

Children:

Children may be especially sensitive to the effects of isotretinoin. This may increase the chance of side effects during treatment. Children may have the side effects of back, joint, or muscle pain more often than adults. This medicine should be used with caution in teenagers, especially those with bone problems or diseases.

Older adults:

Many medicines have not been studied specifically in older people. Therefore, it may not be known whether they work exactly the same way they do in younger adults or if they cause different side effects or problems in older people. There is no specific information comparing use of isotretinoin in the elderly with use in other age groups. However, older people may have a greater risk of problems and adverse effects when taking isotretinoin.

Proactiv Solutions is an excellent product that is benzoyl peroxide based. You can get it at www.proactiv.com.

ive also tried a lot of over counter things until i went to see a dermatologist who gave me doxy cycline ( a pill) and a 5% benzoyl peroxide cream that you use at night and it%26#039;s almost fully cleared me but it hasnt TOTALLY cleared me so im still open minded i just ordered a bottle of acnexus and right now im adding the clearasil pack (like proactiv) before i saw a dermatologist, products like this kept me clear enough to be happy. the clearasil pack is 20 bucks or so and really effective and it hasnt dried out my skin. it stops breakouts and overtime it milidly clears skin. So if you want over the counter get proactiv or clearasil packs if you can see a dermatologist thats your number 1 option.|||To decrease pimples -

Skin is a self healing organ (the largest organ in the body), and with assistance and treatment for acne it can recover from even serious acne outbreaks. We have assembled information about how you can have the best complexion possible and stay away from products that are potentially harmful or a waste of time and money.

What can your Skin do?

* It repairs itself.

* It is wonderfully elastic and pliable.

* It registers sensations with such specificity that it lest the brain differentiate among them.

* It not only feels but also remembers sensations.

* It is incredibly resilient.

* It is largely self-cleaning and rarely suffers from lasting infection.

* It can let in certain important elements even while protecting you from others.

* Most astonishing of all, our skin is capable of holding in the entire , huge amount of liquid that flows through our bodies.

Here are some basic acne treatments product ingredients:

* Salicylic Acid

* Glycolic Acid

* Benzoyl Peroxide (BP)

Now i use it twice a week and im pimple free. I recommend anyone with this problem ask their doctor about it, nothing else ever worked.

Whats the strongest nonperscription acne treatment that you can get at a store?

You have to be able to get it at a store without a doctors perscription|||I%26#039;d use Cetaphil. Don%26#039;t use Noxema. In some cases Noxema has made acne worse. STRONGNESS is not exactly the best quality to look for. You need to look for what%26#039;s best for your type of acne/skin. Also, using too many skin cleansers can rob you skin of too many oils, so it over-produces (to replace what it lost) and then you have WAAY more oil on your face, so you end up hurting yourself. Also, don%26#039;t use loofas or anything like that, that%26#039;ll only aggrivate your face and lead to scarring (baaad!). Also, don%26#039;t wash too often. Once in the morning and once at night, its the same thing with using to many cleansers- it%26#039;ll rob your skin of too much oil. Also, you may want t see a dermatologist. I had minimal acne, so I strted using Noxema (bad idea!) It continued, so I went to go see my doctor. He gave me an oral face over the counter perscription. I used it for two years while my acne got steadliy worse. I finally went tp go see a derm. He was tottaly understaing and helped me out quickly, getting me started on both an over-th-counter pill and oral face stuff. He suggested Cetaphil to me. I am now (a month later) prodly acne-free! Hope I helped =D|||You see, different acne medications do different things. You%26#039;ll find that you get different results from different treatments based on the cause of your acne. The two common acne medications that you will find in over the counter products are benzoyl peroxide and saliciylic acid.

Benzoyl peroxide works by helping to introduce oxygen into your skin which kills p. acne bacteria, a bacteria clinically shown to cause acne. This will work for you if the cause of your acne is bacterial, and it also dries some sebum which may also help you. The highest strength of benzoyl peroxide that you can get over the counter is 10%. A good product with this strength is Clean and Clear Persa Gel, or Clearasil Ultra.

Salicylic acid works by chemically exfoliating your skin. Pimples are caused by pores blocked by sebum (oil) mixed with dead skin cells. By normalizing the shedding of skin, you help to prevent these blockages. Salicylic acid will also help dry up oil. It can be found in a wide range of products and the highest concentration you can get over the counter is 2%. A good product with salicylic acid is Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash.|||Acne products can be really hard to choose be ause everyones skin type is different, so the best product for someone else could be the worst for you. To have clear skin, you have to keep up a daily routine. Try this: wash your face every night before you go to bed to remove all the Dirt and oil from your Long day, then wipe alcohol(if you%26#039;re not alergic) gently Across your face with a cotton ball (but don%26#039;t rub it in.that will irritate the skin). And every night make sure you switch your pillow cases, or flip your pillow so that you don%26#039;t lay on the same side you slept on the night before, that way your face doesn%26#039;t come on contact with oil or dirt that was on your pillow from your face or hair. If you keep this up, you will Notice a change in your face and confidence. Good luck!|||My friends have had luck with Proactiv. I use the Clinique. I would suggest either of those.

And keep in mind that no matter what you try, make sure to be consistent with it (use it morning and night religiously) for 2 weeks to a month before you decide it%26#039;s not working. Most products are not a miracle overnight cure.|||for acne, fair complexion, tanning, sunburn, marks,

hi, im planning to buy proactive acne treatment but im not really sure if it%26#039;ll work. a friend told me to try using diana stadler%26#039;s products.. has anyone tried using one of these products?|||Proactive sucks! trust me!! hope i help out a littel !!|||I hated proactive. It dryed me face really bad and made it look awful. This is what I use now.

Aloe vera gel mixed with 2 drops of tea tree essential oil works really well and has been shown in studys to improve acne. Doing scrubs is not good for acne at all because it irritates acne so I use warm oatmeal with a little bit of honey to exfoliate which is more gently. A french %26quot;green%26quot; clay mask works very well also. It removes impurities from deep within and your acne may get worse before it gets better using the french clay. You should try an organic cleanser. (You can get them at a health food store.) I use a herbal astringent recipe from %26quot;The herbal body book%26quot; by Stephanie Tourles which you can get cheap on half.com. Works really good and is so soothing. Use a oil free moisturizer at might on your face, neck and chest. Try taking vitamins A, E, D, C, B5 vitamin %26amp; Zinc. Also eat healthy lean meats, fresh fruits and vegtables. Boxed foods and fast food will make it so much worse!

P.S. Tea tree and vitamin B5 have been shown to help acne tremendously.

What's the best type of acne treatment for my skin type?

I have really oily skin, but it%26#039;s also sensitive and dries easily. I remember reading somewhere that there%26#039;s a certain type of face wash you should use depending on what exactly was wrong with your skin btwn astringents, micro-beads, and regular lathering treatments.. I just forgot which is for what. Does anyone know which I should use?|||Face washes can be quite drying. You may need to use a creamy type of wash. For your acne, your dermatologist can prescribe Tretinoin/Tretinoid. This is a topical derivative of Vitamin A and it%26#039;s effective at diminishing and erasing dark spots/scars. It鈥檚 the best product against acne. Apply is at night and it will control the growth of new acne. You will see improvements within 3-4 days. It鈥檚 a fraction of that other product advertised on the TV (you know the one I鈥檓 talking about).

Anyhow, If you really want to get rid of your acne you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that%26#039;s causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few decent Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It%26#039;s time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn鈥檛 use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured鈥f we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don鈥檛 want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

If i stop taking isotretinoin for a week (acne treatment drug) will my skin get really bad?

I run out of tablets tomorrow, ive been taking the 40mg a day for 16 weeks now. My appointment with my doctor isn%26#039;t for another week though. Will my skin start getting really bad again while I await the next prescription?|||Call your dermatologist and explain the situation. He/she will likely be willing to squeeze you in and see you earlier (this week). Your skin will probably not get bad in that short of a period of time, no, but it%26#039;s best to stay on consistent, continuous therapy.|||Not likely in one week, but at 40 mg, you may have side effects when you start taking it again...

What's the best time to do an acne treatment?

I%26#039;ve been told right after a warm shower, cause your pores are open, but idk. Ever since I got pregnant I%26#039;ve had really really bad acne. They don%26#039;t even look like normal pimples, but my doc says they are. I use Proactive.|||You should use the treatment twice - once in the morning, and once at night.

But because Proactiv has benzoyl peroxide in it, which can sometimes irritate the skin, you might want to start out only using the Repairing Lotion once in the morning until your skin gets used to it.

And yes, it does help to use an acne treatment after a shower or sometime when your pores are open. But you don%26#039;t necessarily have to - you can just pat your skin with a warm towel before you apply the Proactiv.|||Every morning and night, and any other time if you are sweating a lot or anything. I am pregnant and have broke out as well! My face is almost clear though, except my chin. But my chest broke out BAD! it looks horrible. But yes I feel your pain!|||morning and nights.wt your face with warm water before gently message it into your skin like you really care about it.

What do u think of the acne treatment skin id?

what do you guys think of skin id and has it worked 4 u?|||I have mild to moderate acne.

I have been using skin ID for about 3 months now... at first i used it everyday and it worked within a week. my skin was really clear. but after that it started getting really dry so now i use one or two of the products everyday instead of all three at once and it works great once again. i like it... but it is very expensive... but it has worked better then anything else ive tried which includes pretty much every over the counter medication there is... i have never tried proactive however.

it all depends on your skin type.|||Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-)

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Little orange tablets.

they work great but dry your skin a bit

After the worst is over, can I move on to other acne treatment?

I have been using proactiv for about a month now and my face is pretty clear. I still have some discoloration here and there but NO PIMPLES. Which is great. I was wondering if I could move on to a less expenisive, less time consuming product afterwards. Maybe a gental lotion to put on after bathing or something like that. Something more natural that doesnt dry out your skin.

Any suggestions? Thanks.|||Proactiv is a combination of benzoyl peroxide and salycilic acid. I also found the product too expensive, so I%26#039;ve come up with my own combination that works really well.

I use Aveeno clear complexion soap - with salycilic acid, only about $3 per bar! Also use St. Ives medicated apricot scrub when I need to exfoliate, $3.

Afterwards, I use Bye Bye Blemish serum on my whole face, about $10 a bottle, and Clean and Clear persagel to spot treat if I get a pimple or two. That stuff runs about $5.

It took a while for me to find the right products, but I especially love the Bye Bye Blemish (make sure you get them serum and not the drying lotion) and Aveeno soap.

So the total is about $20, but it all lasts a lot longer than 30 days and you can buy just one item if you need it, unlike the kit. I would recommend alternating days with proactiv and the new stuff, and see how your skin reacts.|||I had the same problem, for years. It really pissed me off that I should have been more popular, except for the pimples. I am smart and funny, but they just ate away at my self-esteem. I was determined to get rid of them by hook or by crook.

I tried a whole bunch of things like proactive and others but nothing seemed to work. I tried a few different books and ebooks and nothing helped. Then, I read an awesome e-book that will teach you all the home remedies that you will need to get rid of acne permanently. At first I thought it was too expensive, but then I realized that I pay this much like every month for pimple medicine and washes, and this was a one time thing. Best decision I ever made! They explained exactly what was causing the pimples and how I could stop them and get rid of them. My doctor told me that he knew ome of this stuff, but doctors never like to tell you natural stuff. they only like to tell you about medicines. Not only did it help me stop getting pimples, it also helped clear up my onld pimple scars, which were really pissing me off!

You can learn about the book at this link http://bambiberg.solution72.hop.clickbank.net

I tried some books from my dermatologist, but they didn%26#039;t help me, plus I kept on forgetting to return them to the library. The best thing about the ebook is that i downloaded it right away, and i had the copy forever.|||There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html|||If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! What is the best acne treatment?

I dont really have like horrible acne, but I do get a lot of pimples all the time, and you%26#039;ll never find my face without atleast 5. What is the best face wash/acne treatment to get rid of this?|||I have tried proactiv and ance free. Acne free is Easy because you can get it at your local walmart. Proactiv, on the other hand, you have to order. I thought Acne free was a better product. I would apply it before bed, and my acne would be gone the next morning! Or most of it anyway. Proactiv isn%26#039;t as strong and its more for little bumps, I think. When I use acne free, I feel my skin tingling because it%26#039;s working on my skin and I know it%26#039;s doing it%26#039;s job. Proactiv does not do this for me. Its just my opinion, you have to find whats best for you!|||We all know how an acne pimple or spot is formed. We are also aware of loads of products to treat these acne pimples. But all these do is treat the symptoms - the preparations have to be continually used to beat back acne.

What is really needed is an acne cure. The following review site offers three of the best acne cures:

Is Witch Hazel safe to use for acne treatment?

I%26#039;ve heard that witch hazel is good for clearing up acne, bruises and skin irritations, is that true? Some people say it works great for clearing up skin irritations but I%26#039;ve also heard people say it can do more damage than good. If it is safe to use, what is the best way to apply it?|||Witch hazel is great for your skin and also good to use after shaving to help prevent razor burn.I make my own astringent with it,you use witch hazel,alum(it%26#039;s a powder used in cooking that helps to tighten the pores)and a few drops of tea tree oil which is good for skin.It really helps with acne and doesn%26#039;t over dry your skin.I like to keep mine in the fridge cause then it feels cool and like it%26#039;s really working.It%26#039;s great in the summer too and cools your skin down.I sometimes add a few drops of peppermint to it for the tingly and cool feeling and it smells good too.Hope you like my weird little recipes and i really don%26#039;t measure anything.Enjoy|||It is, but make sure that, if you%26#039;ve got an alcohol base, you don%26#039;t use too much or it%26#039;ll dry your skin out and make your acne worse(and, not to mention, the flaky skin that%26#039;ll give you).

What stores sell murad acne treatment concealer in their store?

if there are none, are there any stores that sell products similar to this. Thanks so much|||I acne problems beginning when I was 13. I had acne on my shoulders that was really embarrasing. I tried Proactiv, Oxycerin, and even the Asso Gold Cleaning Bar with dismal results. I wound up visitng a dermatologist. After 3 months nearly all of my acne cleared up. I suggest you try differnent products until you find one that works for your body type. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Acne.html|||I%26#039;ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it%26#039;s at.

What's the best acne treatment that worked for you?

i have it mainly on my forehead %26amp; no where else..i guess cause i wear my bangs down and sweat when i exercise|||Okay first I will say that you may want to either wear headbands or switch shampoos and this may help. I tend to use a lot of products on my face and it seems to work for me. Also, this is my OWN skin regiment and I cannot guarantee that it will work for your skin. My personal skin type is combination (oil in t-zone). Anyway here goes:

Shampoo: Pantene Classic Care.

Face: Use Bar Soap (i actually use the soap they give you at the hotels.....its little enough...), Followed by St. Ives Invigorating facial wash (with the microbeads...not the actual scrub), followed by Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Wash, followed by Clean and Clear deep action refreshing gel cleanser.

Followed with: Night Mositurizer from Neutrogena Advanced Solutions

Weekends: (on the weekends I%26#039;m not as aggressive with my routine) Witch Hazel Astringent followed by mixture of Olay Cleanser and Noxema Foam.

Bascially the moral is wash your face with a cleanser that won%26#039;t dry out your skin and it right for your skin type. You can take many quizzes on what routine is best for you and what type of products you should be using. When I break out the worst I use a form of benzoal peroxide which can be found in the brand OXY. Anyway, just poke around on sites like clean and clear, neutrogena, skinid, dove, biore, etc.

Good Luck and I Hope I helped.|||PanOxyl. Its a reasonable price and it works very well for me and my sister. My sister also uses asprin masks. Which are very easy to make and she said it works, very well.

edit: my sister and i both use the panoxyl 5% because the others are too strong. and ill warn you that it makes your skin peel.

What is the name of this new acne treatment?

I just saw this new acne treatment on TV, but I can%26#039;t remember the name of it. The treatment is supposed to be customizable for different skin types. It is not proactive. It%26#039;s New. What is a good (side affect minimal) acne treatment out there?

I am almost 26 and have had nagging (fairly minimal though) acne. It feels worse now than when I was in my teens and I am really fed up with it. I asked my doctor for Retin-A Micro but after reading reviews I got terrified. My skin isn%26#039;t so bad that i want to break out for months before I see improvement. Hope this helps :-)|||even if you read some medical books..the mainstay of treating acne will always be washing your face with a mild soap and water.|||Here is what you need to do, if you haven%26#039;t already.

1. always bathe, everyday

2. Wash your face if it seems dirty/oily

3. Use a good moisturizer after washing your skin, esp face (only the good stuff like Clinique works for some).

4. Always wash your face before bed. If you are female, try not to use makeup or use it minimally. Wash all makeup off your face before bed (regular soap doesn%26#039;t get it all off, so you might have to use a makeup remover).

5. Only wear clean clothes, and sleep on clean bed linens, particularly your pillowcase.

6. If your mattress is dirty, it may need to be replaced, or you can get a plastic zip-up cover to enclose it (walmart has them). This also keeps down mites and dust.

7. Try not to use soaps with scents. Use gentle soaps, such as diluted liquid body wash and a squishy body scrub thingy or wash cloth. Get some clinique facial soap. $$ but worth it.

8. When washing clothes and bed linens, do not use scented detergents. Wash clothes on heavy cycle (esp if you have very oily skin) with a little extra detergent. Add about 2 tablespoons of plain bleach (chlorine bleach, not oxi-clean and all that other stuff) directly to the water before putting your clothes into it. Make sure the bleach goes into the water and gets swished around a bit before putting your clothes into it. Don%26#039;t get bleach on the agitator, or if you do, rinse it off. It can burn your clothes. This step is for killing microbes (bacteria, viruses) on your clothes.

9. Clean the drawers your clothes go in with some diluted bleach (~ 1 tablespoon/gallon water) and maybe a little detergent if they are musty.

10. Basically you can see a pattern, you need to be clean. For example, wash your hands frequently, and try not to touch your face with your hands if they are dirty (this is bad hygiene anyway). Clean your floors if they are dirty (real steam cleaning is esp good). Don%26#039;t put your face on dirty pillows on the sofa. You%26#039;d be surprised how much nasty stuff can live in a pillow/dirty couch, etc.

11. Brush your teeth well with a good toothpaste, at least in the morning and before sleep. Use lysterine or generic equivalent. You may think this sounds crazy, but just on the outside of your mouth is your face, and bad oral hygiene leads to alot of systemic problems, just take my word for it.

12. Eat a healthy diet. This includes both content and volume of food. Take a multivitamin. Take a Calcium/Vit D. pill, a fish oil pill and a vitamin e pill separately. Get some sun on as much of your body as you can periodically (10 minutes or so is good).

13. Get some moderate exercise.

14. Try to get at least 7 hours of solid uninterrupted sleep a night. Earplugs can help you sleep much more soundly if you need them.

15. Try to reduce stress.

16. Although this may seems obvious, I%26#039;ll mention it anyway for the sake of posterity; Don%26#039;t smoke, use illicit drugs, use excess alcohol, abuse your body. All of these break down the body. Try to stay away from 2nd hand smoke as well. Avoid chemical fumes.

If you do all of that and still have acne, I%26#039;d try some medication. Otherwise you are just bandaid-ing.

Honestly who has time to wash your face in the afternoon. Its fine to do it in the morning and evening. Use your skincare once when you wake up and another time before you go to bed.|||Use them in the morning after cleansing and at night before bed. At night use it before 11pm as our skin starts its renewal progress after that.|||Wash your face morning and night and no more. Right after you wash your face apply toner then while the toner is still a little bit damp on the skin apply the moisturizer. If you need to freshen up in the middle of the day use some peppermint tea on a cotton ball. (Keep the tea in the fridge. Feels really good especially on hot summer days.)

What is the best type of Acne treatment?

I dont have terrible acne but i have been starting to get more acne on my chin and nose lately. its not alot. its just spotty. like a few pimples on my nose and 1 or 2 on my chin. What is the best type of acne treatment for this? I hear the new Neutrogina %26quot;wave%26quot; massager works nice. I also hear good things about the proactive system. What do you think? Thanks!|||I also use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. Amazing! Tori is right, some things don%26#039;t work for everyone.

About proactive, it too doesn%26#039;t work for everyone. It worked for my mom friend%26#039;s kid but it only worked for a little while. My brother tried it and it didn%26#039;t work for him. But it probably does work miracles for some people. You don%26#039;t sound like you have a major problem so you should try something like Neutrogena.

Neutrogena has a lot of products that you could use. You could use their acne wash, overnight gel thing to get rid of your acne while you sleep, etc. I haven%26#039;t tried the wave massager because the oil-free acne wash does enough for me!

Good luck!|||Okay, this is gonna sound weird, but rice water works better than anything. Like when you cook rice in a rice pot, you have to wash it first, and the water that you drain out of the pot before you fill it again and cook the rice, you can use it to wash your face with. I%26#039;ve been doing it for about 3 months and it%26#039;s worked better than anything I%26#039;ve tried before. I don%26#039;t know if you have rice or a rice pot or whatever, but I just thought I%26#039;d share that.|||You should diffently try proactive, it helped clear up my skin in about a week. The mask really helps clear up pimples at night. The only downside to proactive is that you really have to be consistant on using it day and night. Good luck!|||I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It%26#039;s wonderful! Clean %26amp; Clear is also nice and easy.|||Some things work for some, others just don%26#039;t work. Basically, you just need to test drive everything. What is the best product for acne treatment?

i have some acne and need like a scrup or anything to treat it... something a little less pricy would be favorable :)|||Consider the excessively-named %26quot;Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment%26quot; as an option for daily treatment. This was widely considered to be one of the best acne treatments available, and works best to prevent acne before it starts, and to prevent minor acne from becoming more serious.

it is so cheap|||I buy my acne treatments online, so that I can read about them in my own time and make sure that I get the best stuff and the best price.

I found a site that has tons of good information and some product recommendations that I agree with - I actually already used their #1 rated product, but they have a better price for it.

Go to http://www.getridofpimple.com to see for yourself!|||Here mate i know how it can be annoying going through product after product!! There is a good product which has really helped my little brother but i would try these helpful tips first

Here are just a few tips to treat them so they would disappear and not multiply.

First of all, when you see a small pimple, try to avoid the temptation of popping it. Popping it can cause it to multiply as it can spread the infection underneath the skin and the next morning you%26#039;d find dozens of them on your face! If ever you do pop a zit, make sure you wash it with soap and water or some alcohol to avoid the risk of infection.

Second, wash your face morning and night using mild soap or facial wash. You need to keep your face clean but you don%26#039;t need strong cleansers to do this. Stay with the mild ones so you would avoid irritation.

Third, choose the right toner. Toner is the new astringent as it%26#039;s a lot gentler to the skin. After washing your face, apply facial toner.

Fourth, exfoliate. Don%26#039;t exfoliate your skin everyday! Exfoliate every three days and use a gentle scrub. Don%26#039;t use a product that once used would make your face feel like it%26#039;s been scrubbed by sandpaper. Your facial skin is really sensitive and it can%26#039;t handle such beating. Be gentle with it.

Lastly, get enough sleep. Not enough sleep can cause pimple breakouts so make sure you get 8 hours of sleep a night. Sleep is a very important thing as it reduces your stress level. Stress influences acne breakouts so in order to reduce your stress level, get some sleep! When you have plenty of sleep, you don%26#039;t only get rid of acne but you feel much happier too!

I don%26#039;t know if any pharmacies stock Acnezine but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product via the offical site http://www.acnezine.com/?aid=853116

It%26#039;s Worked very well for my brother and he has had very bad acne i%26#039;m sure if it worked for him it will bring you some benefit

Best Of Luck!

Will getting an acne treatment facial 7 days before my wedding make me break out?

ive been so stressed out and hormonal due to my birth control pills that i have been breaking out and my wedding is in 7 days! will a facial make it better or worse?|||It might. Ask your spa person or dermatoligst to do a spot check, cause the last thing you want is horrible skin on your wedding day. Have you tried a couple of light tanning sessions? That may help dry out your skin.|||I would try and dry them out with toothpaste. If you get a acne facial I know from experience that it can bring out more pimples but then they clear up. Hopefully you getting your makeup professionally done they can be concealed so that no one will really notice and all of your pics can be touched up. Wait until after your honeymoon and treat yourself to a spa facial. If you have some really big zits a dermatologist can inject it with hydro cortisone to get rid of them but it may be pricey.|||Being so close to your wedding, I%26#039;d go to a professional to make sure...don%26#039;t try anything yourself.....hope you have a super great day for your wedding.....!!!!!! You%26#039;ll look beautiful to your husband to be no matter what.....that%26#039;s why he%26#039;s marrying you....he loves you, not your current situation...peace|||facials are not great for pimples adn stuff

What is a good home-remedy acne treatment?

I am a young teen, sick of using different kinds of creams, and facials cleansers that don%26#039;t work. I just want to try something that will help clear my face and acne, and leave me with not dry, and not oily skin.|||Normal soap and water, and pat dry with a towel. Don%26#039;t waste your time or money on expensive prepared solutions or even spend time trying out arcane, passed-on sure-fire cures. They won%26#039;t work.

Your face is greasy because of your age; it%26#039;ll settle down soon. In the meantime, plain old soap and water will cut through that grease, and if you wash every day your pores will remain as clear as they%26#039;re going to get.|||Maybe you should try combining different types of products. That worked for me. I tried proactiv and it didn%26#039;t work, but I realized that their system might. Get a deep cleaning face wash for acne treatment. Then use cleaning pads afterwards for the dead skin and dirt. These might burn a bit but if you%26#039;re desperate like I was the pain was worth it (and sorta makes you feel like its working). You%26#039;ll see how much dirt is left over even after you wash! Then use a mild acne treatment...less than 10% benzoyl peroxide should dry your skin too much and you can always use face lotion after it dries.

Otherwise, if you%26#039;re intent on homeade remedies, A bio teacher once told me cocoa butter. I%26#039;m not sure why that would work at all and since I never tried it I have no idea. I saw someone use toothpaste on a cartoon once too, haha.|||First of all I want you to tell some thing that might sound you weird but it is true. Constipation and other digestion disorders is one of the most major causes of acne for above 50% people who are not able to cure acne through topical or oral treatments. So make it sure it is not related to it or do visit a health professional.

If you have never had any digestion disorder then there is a home remedy that works for most of the people.Give it a try I am sure you will be happy instantly.

I am telling you a home remedy which will not only clear all bumps pimples and scars but also give a glow to your skin and make it look healthier and fresh. Many people are using this and having great results.

Procedure: Take some sandal wood powder with turmeric powder and put few drops of milk or rose water (Just to make it a paste).Mix them all together well and apply it on your whole face and leave for 20-30 minutes then wash your face with water. And if you have rose water then spray on your face.

It would make wonders for you. Do it on daily basis and you will observe the results instantly.

Proactiv didn%26#039;t work for me but it worked for other people I knew. Try noxzema.

What has been your experience with Retin-A for acne treatment?

I have used Retin-A cream (actually its generic tretinoin) on and off for almost a year. When I first started using it, my skin was painfully inflamed for about 2 months and peeling too. My acne got worse. Then the skin started sloughing off revealing new skin that was smoother but I still get acne. Although not as often, I still occasionally get deep nodular acne at my jaw and neckline. How long have people used it and seen good results? Do you have to use it pretty much the rest of your life?|||I%26#039;ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it%26#039;s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I%26#039;m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

I know many who got acne due to stress, so no one better than you knows what could be the reason for your acne.

I had very bad acne for almost two years, I tried some topical products as well as some home remedies, but nothing worked that well. My aunt who lives in UK, recommended me to use the Derma Cleanse Acne System from Zenmed to pack off my acne problem. I took her advice, used the product for just a month and I couldn%26#039;t believe my face was completely acne free. I started noticing positive results just after a week of using it. Today, after about six months, I am completely free from acne only a few breakouts now and then, which is something natural. You will love this stuff!|||Firstly, don%26#039;t clean your face every single day. It makes your skin more greasy and takes out the natural oils in your skin. The extra grease makes even more spots.

Secondly, make sure you use a face wash that exfoliates and is oil free.

If you want to use a face wash use amie facial clean (pale green squeezy bottle) or clearisil (purple and white packaging). If you just wan%26#039;t to get several spots instead of your full face, use freederm. Its about $22 or 拢11.

My sister who is 27 has the same problem and these have all helped.

What is the overall BEST acne treatment product that actually WORKS?

Don%26#039;t say Proactiv!|||This is what I do:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it%26#039;s very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored.

Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you%26#039;re prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and Clean and Clear are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don%26#039;t use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don%26#039;t scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water.

Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they%26#039;re are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don%26#039;t pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars.

If you have sensitive skin, don%26#039;t use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands a full of bacteria and oils.|||well i can%26#039;t tell you what works the best and for sure but all i can tell you is that i had very bad acne and nothing helped, not even creams from the doctor but i now have found something that works, at least for me! so what i do is use neutrogena make up remover face wipes to take off all my makeup, then i use st ives apricot cleanser blemish control and then neutrogena pore refining toner and finish with aveeno daily moisturizer that reduces redness. now at first i thought it was gonna be crazy to use all these different lines of products but my face has never been clearer and better feeling and looking. its amazing. especially cuz ive tried everything!!! i know getting rid of acne is hard so good luck!|||clean and clear|||Clean-N-Clear acne spot treatment works really well for me. Has anyone ever used baking soda as an acne treatment?

I%26#039;ve read/researched this on the internet and it sounds like a cheap and simple treatment. Does it work? Mixing baking soda with water to form a paste and applying it to acne prone areas?|||Clear your acne, and get beautiful skin.

For clear glowing skin, a little home remedy does wonders for my complexion, as it should with yours too.

Steam your face for 20 minutes every night after washing it, then every other night after steaming your face, massage a half

teaspoon castor oil over face. Leave it on at night while you sleep and wash off immediately upon waking. Steam face for twenty more minutes in the morning after washing. When you finish steaming your face splash your face with cool water and dry it.

If your skin starts to show any signs of a pimple forming. Take one night off from steaming and applying castor oil and apply

Benzoyl Peroxide over face.

Take the next night off also from the steaming, castor oil, and benzoyl peroxide. Continue facial regimen with steaming and

castor oil the following night.

This will moisturize your face at the same time it will help clear up acne and pimples. But only if you work at

it consistently.|||If you want to try using baking soda as an acne treatment, my recommendation is to use one teaspoon of it in your cleanser at night to exfoliate your skin.

The unsightly appearance of acne lesions or pimples isn%26#039;t the only potential problem with the disease, unfortunately. In some cases, it%26#039;s possible for acne to leave permanent scars.

Some conditions may appear to be scars that are not. Macules and other bumps can occur even after acne is treated. Redness may persist for up to a year. But these aren%26#039;t true scars. They%26#039;re not permanent.

True scars are a permanent change to skin tissue produced by the healing process itself, chiefly creating fibrous tissue. As white blood cells attack bacteria they can produce changes in underlying skin cells in the surrounding area. This is one way scars become permanent.

They may also not be limited to areas under the surface.

So-called icepick scars are small pinholes that form in the surface of the skin. They look as if the skin has been poked with an icepick, hence the name. They%26#039;re typically too deep to be treated with simple dermabrasion or even laser resurfacing.

Boxcar scars are similar, except they tend to be flatter on the bottom, rather than narrowing to a point like icepick scars. Since they%26#039;re often shallower they can sometimes be treated with resurfacing techniques.

Keloid scars are firm and grow beyond the site of the injury. They%26#039;re characterized by an excess production of collagen. They often result in a shiny pink or red scar.

Prevention is the best option, of course. But when that%26#039;s not possible, there are a number of standard treatments.|||Instead of going to %26quot;skincare%26quot; clinics which will remove the money from your wallet faster than your acne, just regularly wash your face (morning and before sleeping at night) using a facial wash or soap with salicylic acid. Good recommendations are: Clearasil facial wash and Garnier PureA facial wash.

After washing, use a facial moisturizer such as Myra E or Celeteque after washing. Then apply Panoxyl 5% on the pimples. All of these products are available in most (Philippines) local department stores and drug stores (Mercury Drug, Watsons).

Note: The %26quot;Ponds%26quot; brand of products, including its anti-acne and anti-bacterial wash do not work very well.|||i really don%26#039;t go for commercialized ones, they are very costly.

i like let%26#039;s face it but then it seems to be good only for facial cleaning.

Should i continue using proactiv or change to different kind of acne treatment products?

i had been using proactive for a month now!! and i havent seen any results yet.. my face got worse than before.. my face got really dry. should i continue using proactiv?|||I will tell you my experience with Proactive: Proactive, for me at least, is very sensitive. It seems that if you put too much on, your skin will not get results and it may even worsen. You have too put the perfect amount on. For the Step 1 lotion you should use about a nickel size amount. For Step 2, about a dime. And Step 3 should be no more than a pea. After I learned this, I realized I had been using twice the amount I should have, and I saw immediate results. Remember, never put too much on. Its really great and works well when you put the perfect amount on. Hope that helps!|||Like with any acne treatment, you have to be patient. I know Proactive claims to get rid of acne within a couple weeks, but that%26#039;s just not the case for everyone.

I%26#039;ve been using Proactive for over a year now, and it took three months before I started seeing results and another three before I felt comfortable enough to go out without make-up. And believe me, I almost gave up several times, but I stuck with it, and now I can%26#039;t be happier.

I would suggest that you continue with it for a couple more weeks and use a moisturizer since it does dry out the skin. If you still haven%26#039;t seen results, or your acne gets worse, then you might want to stop use and either try another product or go see a dermatologist.|||I wouldn%26#039;t continue using it if its not working.

I was on proactiv for quite a while and all of a sudden, it stopped working. I read somewhere to wash with a natural bar soap (such as Dr. Bronners) or any mild soap. Then, make a paste of baking soda and some water. Rub this on your face gently in the am and pm, and rinse off.

It worked for me, and even in a few days my skin was much smoother, and soon the pimples starting going away (for good)!|||someone else tonight said proactive made thier skin worse....

seriously, the best remedy for acne is a simple yet cheap solution.... everynight ise peroxide, soak a cotton ball with it and go over clean skin (washed with soap) and dont drink alot of soda, and more water... youll thank me for it : )|||What you need to understand Proactiv will not cure acne only reduce the problem, it can like others cause peeling, irritation and make the skin feel dry. The question is are you drinking plenty of water and maintaining a healthy well balanced diet?
