How do you know which acne treatment is best for you?

I wanted to try alot of different things, but I came on here and asked for the opinions of others on some of those products and most of the people said the product was horrible or plain just didnt work for them.I really wanted to try the Murad acne complex but people say it did nothing for them.I know everyone%26#039;s skin is different and I should try it because I have nothing to loose, but yet I have so much to .If I try another expensive product that doesnt work or only worsens my face I dont what I%26#039;ll do.So tell me how do you know what works best for you,or you dont, you just take a chance and see what happens? Are there any suggestions out there about a good product other than pro-activ because it didnt work.I just need to try something new because I am fed up with this,I just got off nuetrogena it worked for awhile then stopped.SO PLEASE HELP ME,I%26#039;VE TRIED ALMOST EVERYTHING|||You need something that has benzoyl peroxide (ie clearasil vanishing cream with 10% benzoyl peroxide). If you consistently use that, every morning and night, you%26#039;ll notice a major reduction in breakouts. However, along with clear skin, you%26#039;ll notice that the benzoyl peroxide will dry your skin, so you%26#039;ll need a moisturizer along with the cream (anything from St. Ives is good).

So, every morning and night, wash your face (with something other than soap; I recommend something with 2% salicylic acid), apply a mositurizer, and a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream.

I%26#039;m in my mid 20%26#039;s (and have had acne since my early teens) and have tried just about everything and this combination is unbeatable. It works!

again, buy

St. Ives moisturizer

Clearasil vanishing cream (or anythign with 10% benzoyl peroxide)

and a face wish (perferably with 2% salicylic acid)|||If your acne is stubborn or more than a few pimples, a good dermatologist will prescribe an oral antibiotic and a topical treatment which will knock your acne out quickly. I did not want my daughter to take oral antibiotics but it was the only thing that worked and I%26#039;m happy I OKed it. Her self-esteem was restored which is vital for teenagers.

My daughter tried Murad and Proactive - neither worked. What finally helped keep her current occasional breakouts manageable was tea tree oil face wash. We get it at Trader Joe%26#039;s although I%26#039;m sure you can find it at any health store.|||Well first of all do you have sensitive skin. If you get red really easily or dry out easily or have burning sensations when you use bezoyl peroxide or other medications then you probably have sensitive skin.

For that use something like Cetaphil or something with NO benzoyl peroxide or a low concentration of Scacylic Acid.

But the best way to find out what are the best products to use is by trial and error. If you have the time and the money go see a dermatologist.

Another little bit pricey ($60) is Dr. Murad. google him or something he is a lifesaver! I have sever acne and scars. Cleared EVERYTHING right up in about 6 weeks.

And don%26#039;t exfoliate everyday. there are a million tips I could give you. Send me an email or something.|||Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
