What is the best acne treatment out their? answer 2 or 10 points please?

I%26#039;m 14, my dermatologist gave me Glytone i don%26#039;t think anyone ever heard about it. it works but drys the crap out my skin, is their anything better. please help. |||Acutane is absolutely the best (for acne treatment) out there. However, it would only be perscribed if the acne is really bad and after all other options. It also has many side affects that should be considered first, but this is all questions you could ask your dematologist about!

Good for you for going to your dermatologist about this! You will not spend huge money on an infomercial treatment (which unless we%26#039;re only talking the occasional breakout is useless).

Also, the acne treatsments are most likely going to dry out you%26#039;re skin if they are working. Sometimes things need to get better before they get worse. Talk to your Dr. more about this stuf I%26#039;m sure he/she would be glad to help you!

|||Most acne products only treat the symptoms and not the source. They even make your skin dry, sensitive. Prolonged use can even lead to premature aging and other health issues.

The main causes of acne is toxins build up in the body and clogged pores caused by excessive oil and deadskin cells. THese provide a fertile ground for acne to spread and thrive.

To effectively fight acne and prevent acne from coming back, you have to attack acne from inside the body as well as outside on the skin. So, look for an acne product that fights acne internally as well as externally. They should also contains natural ingredients since they%26#039;re more safer to use and has less side effects.

There are also things you can do at home to get rid of acne. Take actions to detoxify your body and take care of your skin and soon, you will permanently end your acne and have clear, radiant, beautiful skin!

For the next couple of weeks, stick to the regimen below:

-Drink a glass of warm water with lemon and honey in the morning and evening

-Drink lots of water throughout the day to flush out the toxins

-Drink at least 3 cups of green tea a day - green tea contains antibacterial properties to kill the bacteria

-Try to do some exercise so you can sweat out all the toxins. Also, try to do meditation

-Eat as many apples as you can. You should buy organic apples at Wholefood. Dont buy apples at local supermarket. Supermarket apples contain pesticides that can toxify your body

-Eat oatmeal for breakfast

-Eat 2 cups of yogurt a day - yogurt boost ur immune system and contain microbiotic organisms that help your digestive system and control the acid/yeast

-Eat lots of green veggies (organic if possible)

-Stay away from coffee, sugar, carbohydrates, fatty and fried food

-Eat salmon and cantaloupe as much as possible

-Wash your face in morning and evening with gentle cleanser, use natural toner, and follow up with oil-free moisturizer

What is a good over the counter acne treatment without perscription?

im 14 and have acne on my face.and its so annoying,i also have oily skin.i really need help!!!! thank u|||NOTE鈥 HAVE WRITTEN THIS LONG ANSWER TO RESPOND TO QUESTIONS RELATING TO BECAUSE THEY COME UP SO OFTEN:

OILY SKIN

ACNE

FACIAL LIGHTENING

DEALING WITH ACNE SCARRING

DEALING WITH STRETCH MARKS

IMPROVING SKIN TONE

PIMPLES

BLACKHEADS

EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT

INGROWING HAIRS

BODY ACNE

鈥HE INFO鈥橲 BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I鈥橫 36 NOW SO I鈥橵E HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ANSWER MAY BE IRRELEVANT, I HOPE THERE%26#039;LL BE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU!

GOOD LUCK!!!

RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.

EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn%26#039;t make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.

HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I%26#039;d recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it%26#039;s hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.

FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on%26#039;t use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.

I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!

Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.

HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it%26#039;s long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.

INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.

For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.

NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.

OLD WIVES TALE??...It%26#039;s an %26#039;old wives tale%26#039; type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X

HYDRATION鈥?Keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!

DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L%26#039;oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it%26#039;s own moisturiser which I don%26#039;t use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.

If you get your skin relatively under control, try using %26#039;21 days Fade Cream%26#039; (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!

Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.

LI|||stay away from any cleanser that is a cream. that will only make it worse. clearasil or clean and clear. you want something with 2% salicylic acid to kill bacteria and break down oily build-up. benzol peroxide works with it too.

good luck.|||you can buy the normal face cream or you can buy noxema skin cream. normally, these creams help with the face situations like oil and things like that.|||how about clean and clear or proactive the clean and clear works really good! it helped me alot i dont even have acne any more you should try it :P|||Biore Works Very Well And It has 2% Salicylic Acid In it.

What is a good acne treatment to use if proactive DOESN'T work?

i have been using proactive for 4 months and it has gradually become a worse kind of acne. i have made a dermo appointment but i need something to do with my face in the meantime. any suggestions?|||Nothing worked for me either until I went to the dermetoligist and he gave me a perscription for Solydon (I think thats how you spell it) anyway it is awsome i cleared my face up in like 3-4 weeksits an oral antibioyic then you wash you face like you normlly do and it really works!!! Hope this helps!|||If your face is sensitive to ProActive, you should do weekly facials and use what the lady uses who does your facials. They normally sell the stuff they use.

My skin is very sensitive also, but if you get bi-weekly facials until it gets under control, then move them to monthly facials, you will see a difference.

Goodluck!|||I usually compressing my acne using frozen ice.

What is the best over the counter acne treatment??

I have had a bad breakout lately and I really need a good treatment for it, and for those everyday pimples.|||Hands down, the Proactiv line of skin products is the best.|||Proactive seems to work for everyone I know but it completely dries my skin out and my oil glands try to compensate by producing more oil and then I get more pimples. I have tried everything and I really like the cheap stuff. I used Biore blemish fight ice cleanser then Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner with a cotton ball. After these I use Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Contol 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment. It is the perfect amount of moisture and I love the texture. I also exfoliate with cleansing cloths about once every two or tree days. For spot treatment I went to the doctor and Benzeclin. My complexion has been great!|||Proactive. Works fast, inexpensive, and keeps you looking great !

What is the best acne treatment you can get at the drugstore?

Clean%26amp;Clear can be bought over-the-counter and they really work. They did a great job for me, so worth having a look.|||avenno is the olny thing thats working for me and ive tryed everything even proactive and skin id|||Acne Free. I had really bad acne from the age of 12 to 23, and tried everything-- Accutane, minocycline, tricycline, every drugstore brand, Proactiv, etc. I mean everything. People at the stores I went to would recommend things to me. It was horrible. Then my friend who had had bad acne actually recommended Acne Free to me because it was the only thing that worked for him too.

My routine (usually once a day, sometimes twice):

1. Wash face with Purpose to remove makeup.

2. Wash face with Acne Free wash.

3. Dry face, wait 5-10 min until skin is completely dry.

4. Apply Acne Free toner.

5. Wait 5-10 minutes until toner is completely dry.

6. Apply Acne Free repair lotion, wait 5-10 min to apply makeup.

That%26#039;s it. Now, I%26#039;ve had little to no acne for 3 years, for the first time since I was 12. My face doesn%26#039;t get dry, though usually I just wash it once a day. Hope this works for you.|||there is a thing called panoxyl...this worked for my friend.
