Anyone know good acne treatment for 12 yr old daughter?

My daughter is getting acne breakouts on her back and on her forehead and occasionally pops up in other areas of her face. She%26#039;s gone to the dermatologist and uses the medicine. It works a little, but Is there a better solution or health practice alternative or the ultimate solution to keep it from reoccurring?|||Forehead acne - Constipation and stress

Acne on chin - Hormonal imbalance

Acne anywhere else is again constipation and hormonal imbalance.

Long term solution:

1. No alcohol

2. No beef or pork or red meat

3. No dairy food.

4. No artificial sugar

5. More vegetables in diet

6 More fruits, apples / watermelon / oranges / limes.

7. 15-20 glasses of water. Ask her to drink 500 ml of lukewarm water every morning upon rising on an empty stomach with one lemon squeezed in it. Do not eat or drink anything else for an hour after that.

8. Always take shower with tepid/ nearly cold water.

9. Keep hair off the face and do not sleep on side or on face.

10. Avoid harsh sun or midday sunlight.

11. Have a good night of sleep.

12. I am not asking to give up these stuff forever but until you see very good improvement you should avoid these factors and have a good regimen.

13. Workout in moderation.

14. When she stops medication she will get an outbreak of suppression let that clear up with good diet.

15. All the best.

Avoid strong deodorant soaps and perfumes as it would just cause irritation to skin.

Acne can be controlled and can be made to go almost completely with good diet but cannot be stopped from recurring.

12 years old is very young age to start such a healthy regimen which would give her long lasting results.|||There are basically two types of acne products that you can avail of. First, we have the ingestible ones, or the acne products which you could take in via the mouth. Second, we have the external or topical acne products which are applied to the outer layer of the skin.

Of the first group of acne products are pills like antibiotics. Antibiotics reinforce our antibodies, and lead to a better protection of our system against harmful bacteria that, when added with oil, would cause acne. Antibiotics, however, should be taken in moderation. Too much of the same would make our antibodies immune to their reinforcing effects.

Vitamins and supplements are also popular ingestible acne products. If you want a natural way of preventing acne breakout, then let your body do the work by merely supplementing it with these types of acne products. Vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E are great for the skin. Protein would also help improve the rejuvenating properties of the same.

In the second group of acne products belong cleansing creams and liquids. Most of these contain salicylic acid and benzoyl perocide, both of which are very effective in treating acne. The problem with these ingredients, however, is that they can be too astringent for some people. They may get rid of excess oil, but they dry up the skin too much, resulting in other forms of skin disorders.

For other effective remedies for acne treatment, you can read abt them here: http://acne.best-health-remedy.com/|||I went to doctors %26#039;cause i had a bit of acne for like 4 years, since I was 13. Now, I just use a very mild soap [I use Dove] to wash my face, and I swear it%26#039;s had the best improvement of anything i%26#039;ve used, even the prescription stuff.

So if you%26#039;re not already doing that, then have her try out very mild soaps and see if that helps at all.|||What meds is she using?

I%26#039;m on Erythromycin and Differen (Adapalene) and they work great for me. They%26#039;re topical treatments and really easy to use.

Also what helped me a lot was washing my face in the morning and night as well as AFTER SCHOOL... washing my pillowcase more often (I drool unfortunately), training myself not to touch my face, and carrying baby wipes to sports games/gym class to clean my face off with.

Hope these tips help!|||ProActiv works wonders.

An alternate is the pill, even though she is a little young. If you choose this, she may break out at first, but it really helps.
